1. Acceptance of Terms By accessing this website or using the services of Bakis Appliance Repair (“Company,” “we,” “our,” or “us”), you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use our website or services.
2. Services Provided Bakis Appliance Repair provides residential appliance repair services. Services include diagnostics, repair, maintenance, and replacement of parts for major household appliances. All services are subject to technician availability, parts availability, and service area confirmation.
3. Appointments & Scheduling • Appointments must be scheduled via phone, website form, or other approved contact methods. • Customers must provide accurate contact and appliance information. • We reserve the right to reschedule appointments due to weather, emergencies, or unforeseen circumstances. •
Access: Customers are responsible for providing safe, clear, and unobstructed access to the appliance at the scheduled time.
4. Pricing & Payments • Service Call Fee: A diagnostic fee (Service Call Fee) applies to every appointment. This fee covers the technician’s travel and professional assessment.
The Service Call Fee is non-refundable and is due even if the customer chooses not to proceed with the repair. • Estimates: After diagnosis, a clear repair estimate will be provided. No repair work will be performed without customer approval.
• Payment Due: Payment is due in full immediately upon completion of service. We accept approved payment methods as communicated at the time of service.
• Price Changes: Prices for parts and labor are subject to change without prior notice until the estimate is approved. 5. Cancellations & Refunds
• Cancellations: Customers must provide at least 24 hours' notice for cancellations. Cancellation fees may apply if the technician has already been dispatched.
• Refund Policy: In the event that Bakis Appliance Repair, at its sole discretion, agrees to issue a refund for a service: 1. The Service Call Fee is strictly non-refundable.
2. The cost of installed parts is non-refundable, as they remain installed in the customer’s appliance.
3. Only the labor portion of the invoice may be considered for a partial or full refund. • Any disputes regarding charges must be reported within 7 days of service.
6. Warranty & Scope of Coverage
• 90-Day Limited Warranty: We provide a 3-month (90-day) warranty on labor and new parts installed by our technicians, effective from the date of service.
• Limited Scope: This warranty applies strictly and exclusively to the specific parts replaced and the specific repair performed during the original visit.
• New Issues: Modern appliances consist of numerous interdependent components. If a different part fails or a new, unrelated issue arises after our repair, it is not covered by this warranty. Such cases will be treated as a new service request and will be subject to standard diagnostic and repair fees.
• Exclusions: The warranty does not cover: • Misuse, neglect, or accidental damage. • Damage caused by power surges or plumbing issues. • Pre-existing unrelated issues. • Normal wear and tear.
• Voiding Warranty: Warranty coverage is void if the appliance is moved to a new location or serviced/tampered with by a third party or the owner after our repair.
7. Limitation of Liability Bakis Appliance Repair shall not be liable for:
• Indirect or Consequential Damages: Including but not limited to loss of food due to appliance malfunction.
• Secondary Costs: Costs of laundromats, ice, or alternative appliance rentals.
• Property Damage: Pre-existing electrical, plumbing, or structural issues (e.g., fragile flooring or faulty valves).
• Delays: Delays caused by part backorders or manufacturer shipping issues.
• Total Liability: Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid for the specific service performed.

We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access to the website.
9. Privacy Your use of our services is also governed by our Privacy Policy regarding the collection and use of personal information.
10. Governing Law These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the State of Illinois.
